How to prepare your wok prior to cooking!

What you need:
1 onion , 2 garlic cloves, a few slices of ginger root, lard, duck fat or a vegetable oil with a high smoke point., liquid soap (not a detergent)

In a lot of Asian countries, lard is used to season a wok but you can also use duck fat, or a vegetable oil.
As for the oil you want to use in you wok cooking adventures, you need oil with a high smoke point.
Avocado oil is one of the best with a smoke point of 270° celsius.
In a majority of Asian countries they use Soybean oil (230°-257°C) or rice bran oil (254°C)
If you don’t have these oils, you can always use peanut or sunflower oil; both have a smoke point of 227°C.
